Roots of Humanity

Human - Humane - Humanity

All rooted in the Latin word Humus.

Humus, means earth, dirt.

We are earth that has come to consciousness.

Earth that is now humane.

But what is to be humane?

Is the example Narendra Modi?

Who in the month of April exported 2M vaccines out of India, while over 38k Indians lost their lives.

Is it Jair Bolsonaro?

Who continually declined offers to inoculate the dwindling Brazilian population that saw deaths surpass births also in the month of April.

Is it Benjamin Netanyahu?

Whose luxurious penthouse on Gaza street in Jerusalem still stands,  while hundreds of children lose their shacks and lives to Israeli bombs.

We live in a world where murder and death is now a normality of life. In a global pandemic that became synonymous with reflection. A reflection of our humanity. The desensitization of modern society towards death has reached its bank and is now overflowing, exposing all the atrocities that this world has erased from its psyche.

“People die” and indeed they do, no doubt can be debated on this logic. Humans should die. As horrific as that sentence might strike that is just reality. Think of where we would be as a society if every human lived forever? Nothing can save us from the thousand year conundrum that is the inevitable need for death. We know the process and cycle but we don’t know what it is. At its core, what is death? Why did Mother Nature choose death? That is an unanswerable question.

But, Why do we kill ?

That is a simpler question. We kill because we want to.

We kill because in that moment of time when a life is taken, it gives a human, or a group of humans, complete power over life. Nothing can make a human, who believes themselves superior, feel more alive than to feel like a god.  And what is to be a god? To be a god is to create. To create and destroy.  Those who can’t create, destroy.

We live in a world where the bitterness of many is so grand, that the happiness of the most can not seem to overpower it. This is now a world of bigots. The pleasure most feel in creating is nothing compared to the euphoria felt by those who actively seek to destroy, and succeed. A world where envy and greed are the main fuel of choices. A world of hate. Those that seek the desire of power over others are the ones who should not be in power.

As comfortability starts to sink in, reality always rears in its ugly head.  A cultural shock some call it.  A moment in which the few understand that they are the many.  A moment in which  all of those at the bottom of the totem pole can look up and understand the reality. The reality is, there is no enemy. Humans have become nothing more then numbers to the large institutions that we choose to empower.

Governments have forgotten they weren’t the firsts institutions and they will not be the last.

As long as we choose to fight one another, on the basis of man-made concepts rooted in HATE, an unnecessary apocalypse will be brought on to our race, by nothing other then greed, envy and desire.

Nothing matters once life is lost.

Life is not debatable nor public policy.

Laws are implemented to protect HUMANITY above all else.
